Don’t even try to tell me you can’t wear hats. You are wrong. Hats, especially big ones, are all kinds of right, even if you aren’t a lily white Southern prissy girl like me. You need one, and you especially need one with your monogram on it. Who is going to say they can’t wear something with their own monogram on it? Only you can wear that. Therefore, it is the morally responsible thing to do.
Aside from the longing looks of avarice I get when I’m wearing my own monogrammed hat from The Palm Gifts, the other best (not really, but I am considering using it as a behavior modification tool) thing about my hat is that when I put it on, Frat Boy the Younger cries. Like full-on, quivery bottom lip, big tears cries. I’m unsure as to whether he cries because he disapproves of my millinery choices, or whether he is already succumbing to the unexplained neuroses of his mother’s side of the family. Either way, home slice doesn’t like it, but he sure does want to wear it.
