Dibs on Clive Owen

This month I’m participating in NaNoWriMo. Since I won’t have as much time to blog, I asked some of my favorite bloggers to guest post for me – and some of them were actually willing to do it. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do; they have become my friends through this crazy little thing known as the internet, and I’m grateful for their support. -Tricia

Downton Abbey is the Next.Hot.Thing here in the US. Hey, look people are watching PBS and not just for Sesame Street. While I’ve also been sucked into the awesomeness of this show it does remind of me of the movie, Gosford Park, and when I started my love affair with Clive Owen.
If you like Downton Abbey, you will love Gosford Park. Its all about the servants at a British home. There’s a murder and everyone has to figure out who did it, the servants all talk, the rich folks all talk, the inspector interviews everyone and it’s all intriguing. Clive Owen is of course a pivotal character in this film. I won’t spoil it for you as to who the murderer is but the movie itself is very well done, the story flows well and there’s some interesting things that don’t get revealed till the end. Its a great
film totally worth renting or adding to your Netflix queue.
The number 1 item on my bucket list: Dry hump Clive Owen. I would pay money to dry hump this man.
Seriously wouldn’t you? Too bad. I called dibs. I used have a Pinterest board entitled “Bucket List” and he’s the only thing on it. He’s so yummy looking. Just look at him! I’ve since made him his own board for my wet dreams entertainment.
I’ve seen almost every movie he’s ever been in and I can’t even remember half of the story-lines. Evenwhen he looks less than smoldering my brain flashes to some of his
other roles; Sexy self-centered prick Larry in Closer
Cool as ice, tough as nails Dwight in Sin City
The gritty, strong sexy future king in Arthur
He matched wits with Denzel Washington as a bank robber in Inside Man
He played Sir Walter Raleigh in Elizabeth: The Golden Age. I live in Raleigh!
It’s totally meant to be. I must dry hump him soon. There are so many signs. I’ve got a Clive Owen addiction and I don’t care who knows.
Kia spends entirely too much time at the movies watching great stuff and terrible stuff so you don’t have to spend money on crap. She does this because she can finally leave the house without her teenager. You can find her on twitter as @NotTheCar (get it?) and read about her T-Shirt collection and movies reviews on her blog Jeans and a T-Shirt www.jeansandtshirt.com

Kia, you are a naughty girl…and I couldn’t agree more with you about Clive! I remember seeing that movie years ago, but don’t remember the plot at all. Since we have to wait till January to see Downton Abbey, I might just have to NetFlix that one more time.

Kia, have you seen Croupier? This began my Clive Owen infatuation.
